Joseph Havlin – Accounting

Joseph Havlin is a U.S. trained accounting and finance professional who has spent the past decade living and working internationally, particularly in Asia, as CFO and as a Partner with Baker Tilly. His diverse experience with multinational companies provide him with extensive experience with US GAAP, IFRS and Chinese accounting standards, financial reporting practices and internal control structures.

Mr. Havlin provides accounting consulting services to PRC companies listed in the U.S. with financial reporting and SEC regulatory issues. His present and past engagements include assisting a U.S. listed PRC company with $1 billion in sales to resolve financial reporting and regulatory issues, negotiating investment terms and assisting in the capital raising process for a telecom towers project in Cambodia, resulting in a first round investment of US$5 million, and assisting with fund raising for mining and oil & gas projects in Indonesia, China, Kazakhstan and Mongolia.

Prior to this, Mr. Havlin was Chief Financial Officer and Director of Alpha Prime Mining Ltd., a privately held mine development company with its principal project in northern Mexico. He also served as Partner of US GAAP and SEC Reporting at Baker Tilly Hong Kong; as CFO and Director at The GCC Group, a privately held designer and manufacturer of laser toner cartridges in Shenzhen, China, and as Professor at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, China’s leading business university.

Mr. Havlin earned his BA in Accounting with a minor in Economics at Western Washington University where he graduated Cum Laude. He earned a second BA in Chinese Language and Literature at the University of Washington.
